Tulane football found the perfect stage to celebrate its New Orleans roots with a photoshoot inside Mardi Gras World, the working float den where the artistry of Carnival comes to life. Surrounded by the towering creations of Kern Studios, the Green Wave stepped into the color, scale, and spirit that make Mardi Gras an icon of the Crescent City.

Of course, there’s always playful chatter about who can really claim to be the “Home of Mardi Gras.” While others may toss their hat—or helmet—into the ring, Tulane kept it simple: go straight to the source. At Mardi Gras World, floats aren’t just part of history, they’re being built for the parades of tomorrow, making it the ultimate backdrop for the Green Wave.

The shoot captured the boldness of Tulane football alongside the artistry of New Orleans’ most famous tradition, blending the excitement of game day with the year-round magic of Mardi Gras.

For Tulane, it was more than just photos. It was a reminder that in New Orleans, Mardi Gras isn’t a claim—it’s a way of life.
