We’re thrilled to announce that Mardi Gras Mike, the dazzling, custom-built Mike the Tiger float designed by Kern Studios, is temporarily on display at Mardi Gras World while he undergoes upgrades. This special appearance gives guests an exclusive opportunity to see one of our newest and most talked-about floats up close — but only for a limited time.

A New Icon in the Making

Mardi Gras Mike is no ordinary float. Standing approximately 14 feet tall and stretching 30 feet long, this monumental creation was first revealed to LSU Baseball fans at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge. From there, he made a memorable debut at the College World Series in Omaha before returning to his artistic birthplace here in New Orleans.

Crafted by the world-renowned Kern Studios, Mardi Gras Mike captures the bold spirit of LSU’s beloved mascot while embracing the vibrant artistry that makes Mardi Gras floats world-famous.

See the Creation in Action

For a short time, guests at Mardi Gras World have the exclusive chance to get up close to Mardi Gras Mike. Displayed in our working float den, he joins a host of colorful floats, sculptures, and props that showcase the incredible artistry behind New Orleans’ most iconic celebration.

This is a rare opportunity to see not just the finished float, but also the ongoing craftsmanship that goes into upgrading and preparing a float of this scale. It’s Mardi Gras magic in motion.
